Open Content > Settings in the sidebar. The page has three tabs: Articles, Blog and Improvements. Click Save Content Settings when you are done. Changes apply to the articles written from then on.
Articles
Brand
- Brand Color is used for callouts and the cover images. Secondary color and Accent color are optional and add to it.
- Image Style sets the look of every cover image: Brand & Text, Watercolor, Cinematic, Illustration or Sketch. Each cover carries the article's title and your brand colour.
Content & SEO
- Writing Tone sets how your articles sound, and Article Depth how long and thorough they are.
- Auto-publish articles sends each new article to your connected blog on its day. When it is off, articles wait for you to publish them.
- Automatic Keyword Generation adds fresh keywords to your planner when it runs low.
- Internal links adds links to your other articles in each post. Set how many with Internal links per article. Under Hub pages, list important pages on your site, each with the exact phrase that should link to it.
Pillar and spoke articles
A pillar is a cluster's main article and its spokes are the shorter articles that link to it. Set the length of each in words, add instructions for each, and give up to three example pages whose shape a pillar or a spoke should follow. The examples are read for their structure only and never copied.
Article features
Switch on or off: Table of Contents, Call-to-Action, Include Emojis, Mention Similar Products & Tools and First-Person Writing. Include Infographics turns figures from cited sources into charts, on plans that include them.
Global Instructions
Instructions every article follows, for example "Always include practical examples". Leave it empty unless you have a preference for every article.
Blog
- Sitemap URL and Main blog address tell Gofylo where your site and blog are, so it can link to your pages and avoid repeating topics you already cover.
- Under Your best article examples, add articles written in the voice you want, then click Extract Voice. The Voice Profile shows what Gofylo learned: formality, vocabulary, sentences, tone and writing patterns. The examples set the voice only, not the length or structure.
Improvements
Gofylo can rewrite published articles that are slipping in search. This needs Google Search Console connected.
- Article Improvement switches it on.
- Auto-push improvements to your CMS sends the improved article to your blog. When it is off, the article shows Improvement available and you republish it yourself.
- Re-improve articles older than sets how long an article waits before it can be improved again: 15, 30, 60 or 90 days.
- Run improvements on sets which days of the week it runs. Choose at least one.
Every improved article keeps its earlier text under Versions on the article page.
