I built this list for a specific reader: a founder, marketing lead, content manager or solo operator at a B2B SaaS company who already knows that answer engines now sit between buyers and vendor websites. You do not need the category explained. You need to know which AEO platforms are worth a trial, which job each one does, and how they fit together without paying for three tools that overlap.
An AEO platform is software that helps a brand get named, cited or recommended inside AI-generated answers: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. In practice the category splits into two groups. Some platforms measure how answer engines see you. Others produce and improve the content those engines read. A few try to do both.
The pressure behind the category is measurable. In Conductor's research, of 21.9M Google searches analyzed, 5.5M generated an AI Overview, or 25.11%. Goodie AI reports that 68% of US Google searches ended without a click in January–April 2026, up from 60.45% in 2024. For B2B specifically, 72% of B2B buyers consult AI for research. A buyer who reads a shortlist inside ChatGPT may never see your page one ranking, so the work has to cover both Google and the AI layer.
How I chose: every platform here had to do at least one of three things well. It measures brand presence across answer engines, it changes the content those engines retrieve, or it closes the loop between the two. I left out tools that only rebrand classic keyword rank tracking, and I described each vendor from its own public positioning. One disclosure up front: Gofylo is my own product. It sits on this list on the same terms as everything else, and I have tried to be specific about where other tools are the better fit.
The table below is the short version: the measurement tools cluster in the middle, the content engines cluster at the end, and most small teams need one from each side, or one platform that covers both.
| Platform | What it is for | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Gofylo | Autonomous content publishing plus AI visibility scoring | Small SaaS teams with no content staff |
| Semrush | SEO suite with AI visibility toolkit | Teams already running SEO in Semrush |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | Brand mentions across AI answers, inside Ahrefs | Ahrefs users benchmarking share of voice |
| Profound | Enterprise AI visibility analytics | Large brands with dedicated analysts |
| Peec AI | Prompt-level AI search analytics | Marketing teams wanting clean tracking |
| Otterly.AI | Lightweight AI search monitoring | Solo operators and small budgets |
| Writesonic | AI writing plus GEO visibility features | Teams wanting writing and tracking in one app |
| Clearscope | Content optimization and briefs | Editors who write and refresh by hand |
| Outrank | Automated SEO article publishing | Founders wanting hands-off blog output |
| Rankai | AI-driven SEO content service | Teams wanting a managed SEO program |
| Babylovegrowth | Automated SEO and content growth | Bootstrapped builders on a lean stack |
| Gushwork | AI agents with human SEO oversight | Teams wanting a done-for-you inbound setup |
If you pick only one starting point, run a free AI visibility check before buying anything. Gofylo's free AI Search Grader (my own tool) grades how answer engines currently see your brand, and that baseline tells you whether your gap is measurement, content, or both. Every paid decision on this list is easier once you know which.

Gofylo
Gofylo is my own product, so read this entry with that in mind. It is an autonomous organic growth platform: it researches keywords from your competitors and the live search results, groups them into topic clusters, writes articles in your brand voice and publishes them to your CMS. The standard plan produces 30 articles a month, each written in a few minutes. Every article ships with schema markup, internal links, FAQ blocks, verified source citations and AI-generated images, in 18+ languages.
The AEO side has two parts. First, every article is formatted to be cited by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini: short declarative answers, question-shaped sections, sourced claims. Second, an AI Visibility Score shows how ChatGPT and Claude see your brand, with Perplexity and Gemini to be added later. A Search Console refresh then rewrites published articles that sit just off page one using your own Google Search Console data, and keeps the earlier version so you can restore it.
The structural difference from a manual workflow is that no one has to prompt it. A typical stack for a two-person team is a tracker, a writing tool and a freelancer, held together by someone's calendar. Gofylo runs research, writing, linking, publishing and refreshing as one loop, so output keeps compounding when the founder is busy shipping product. The trade-off is control: if you want to hand-edit every sentence before it goes live, a content optimization tool such as Clearscope fits that habit better.
Best for Founders, solo operators and lean marketing teams at B2B SaaS companies that want both Google rankings and AI citations without hiring writers, and who prefer autonomous execution over another dashboard that needs daily attention.
- Keyword research drawn from competitors and live search results, grouped into topic clusters
- 30 articles a month, each written in a few minutes, in your brand voice
- Schema markup, internal links, FAQ blocks and verified citations in every article
- Publishing to WordPress, WordPress.com, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Notion, Ghost and Framer, plus a webhook
- Search Console refresh with the earlier version kept for restore
- AI Visibility Score for ChatGPT and Claude, and a free standalone AI Search Grader
Semrush
Semrush is the SEO suite most growth-stage teams already have a login for, and it has extended into AI search with an AI visibility toolkit that reports how a brand appears in AI-generated answers alongside its classic keyword, backlink and site audit data. The main advantage is context: you can look at a topic's Google rankings, its AI Overview presence and your brand's AI mentions inside one account, without exporting between tools.
For a content or SEO manager, that single view matters more than any single metric. When a page ranks well on Google but your brand is absent from AI answers on the same topic, you know the problem is how the content reads to a model, not whether it is indexed. When both are weak, you have a coverage problem. Semrush gives you the data to make that call, but you still need a person or another tool to write and publish the fix.
Best for SEO and content managers at growth-stage companies who already run keyword research, audits and reporting in Semrush and want AI visibility data in the same place instead of adding a separate tracker.
- AI visibility reporting next to traditional keyword and backlink data
- Site audit and technical SEO checks that affect crawlability for AI systems too
- Competitive research to see which rivals answer engines mention
- Reporting suited to teams that present to leadership on a schedule
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs Brand Radar is Ahrefs' answer to AI search monitoring. It tracks how often a brand is mentioned in AI-generated answers and compares that presence against competitors, using Ahrefs' large query datasets rather than only the prompts you type in yourself. That makes it useful for share-of-voice questions: across a broad set of queries in your category, how often does your brand come up compared with the three companies you lose deals to?
The appeal for an Ahrefs customer is the same as Semrush's appeal for a Semrush customer: AI visibility sits next to the backlink and content data you already trust. Brand mentions in AI answers often track brand mentions across the web, so seeing both in one tool helps you decide whether to invest in more content, more third-party coverage, or both.
Best for Teams already on Ahrefs that want category-level benchmarking of AI mentions against named competitors, especially where earned media and backlinks are part of the strategy.
Profound
Profound is an AI visibility analytics platform built for enterprise marketing teams. It monitors how answer engines mention and cite a brand, which sources those engines draw on, and how that picture shifts over time. Its reporting depth is aimed at organisations with a brand team, an SEO team and analysts who want to segment results by product line, region or topic.
For a large brand, knowing which third-party pages an engine cites when it describes you is often the most actionable output, because it shows where to place content or earn coverage. For a seed-stage startup, the same depth can be more data than anyone has time to act on. That is a fit question, not a quality one: Profound is built for teams with the people to work through what it surfaces.
Best for Enterprise and upper mid-market brands with dedicated analysts who need detailed, segmented AI visibility reporting and source-level citation analysis.
Peec AI
Peec AI is an AI search analytics tool that tracks a defined set of prompts across answer engines and reports visibility, position within the answer, sentiment and the sources cited. It is set up around prompts you choose, which suits a team that knows its buying questions well: "best SOC 2 automation tool for startups", "alternatives to [incumbent]", and so on.
The prompt-based model matters because AI answers vary between runs. Sampling the same questions repeatedly and reporting the trend is more reliable than a single screenshot, and that repeated sampling is the core loop inside an AI tracking tool of this kind. Peec AI's interface keeps that loop readable for marketers without a data background. Like the other trackers here, it tells you where you stand rather than producing the content that moves the number.
Best for Marketing and demand generation teams that want clear, prompt-level tracking of AI visibility and competitor presence, with reporting they can share without heavy setup.
- Visibility, position and sentiment per tracked prompt
- Competitor comparison on the same prompt set
- Source tracking that shows which pages engines cite
- Trend reporting that smooths out run-to-run variation
Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI is a lightweight AI search monitoring tool. You add the prompts and brand terms you care about, and it monitors how your brand and your links appear in AI answers across engines, with alerts and simple reporting. Its pitch is accessibility: a solo operator can set it up in an afternoon and get a weekly picture without a sales call.
For bootstrapped builders, that low setup cost is the point. Before you spend serious money on AEO, you want to know whether answer engines mention you at all on your core buying prompts. Otterly.AI answers that question cheaply. Teams that outgrow it usually move to deeper analytics or to a platform that also produces content, depending on whether the next bottleneck is insight or output.
Best for Solo operators, indie SaaS builders and small teams that want basic AI search monitoring on a tight budget with minimal setup.

Writesonic
Writesonic began as an AI writing tool and has grown into a combined content and GEO platform. Alongside article generation and SEO writing features, it tracks brand visibility across AI answer engines and suggests actions to improve it. For a team that wants writing and AI visibility in a single subscription, that combination is the main draw.
The working model is closer to an assisted workflow than an autonomous one: a marketer typically drives the writing, reviews output and decides what to publish, while the visibility data points to where effort should go. That suits teams who want a hand on every piece. Compared with my own Gofylo, Writesonic gives you more interactive writing control, while Gofylo is built to run research, writing and publishing without prompts. Which is better depends on whether your constraint is editorial control or time.
Best for Content and marketing teams that want AI writing and AI visibility tracking in one tool, and that have someone available to steer and review the writing.
- AI article and SEO content generation
- Brand visibility tracking across AI answer engines
- Recommendations tied to visibility gaps
- A broad set of writing templates for other marketing content
Clearscope
Clearscope is a content optimization platform used by editorial teams to write and refresh content that covers a topic thoroughly. It grades drafts against what top-performing content on a query covers, produces briefs, and integrates with common writing environments such as Google Docs and WordPress. It has been a staple for content-led SaaS teams for years.
Its relevance to AEO comes from coverage and clarity. Answer engines tend to cite pages that answer a question directly and completely, and a draft that addresses the subtopics a reader expects is easier for a model to extract from. Clearscope does not write or publish for you. It makes human writers better and more consistent, which is exactly what a team with in-house writers wants.
Best for Content managers and editors with in-house or freelance writers who want a reliable standard for topic coverage on new articles and refreshes, while keeping humans in charge of the writing.
Outrank
Outrank is an automated SEO content tool. It finds keywords, generates articles and publishes them to your site on a schedule, so a blog keeps growing without someone writing each post. Its target user is a founder or small team that wants consistent output with very little ongoing effort.
Outrank sits in the same broad category as Gofylo: automated content generation and publishing. When comparing tools in this group, I look at what ships inside each article (structured data, internal links, FAQ blocks, citations), which CMS platforms are supported, whether published articles get refreshed from performance data, and whether the tool tells you anything about AI visibility. Trial both against the same keyword set and judge the output directly; that is a fairer test than any feature list.
Best for Founders and small teams that want a hands-off way to publish SEO articles on a regular schedule without managing writers.
Rankai
Rankai positions itself as an AI-driven SEO service. It combines AI content production with an ongoing optimization program, so the buyer gets something closer to a managed SEO engagement than a self-serve tool. Content is produced and improved over time against search performance, with the vendor running much of the process.
The managed model suits teams that want an outcome rather than a workflow to operate. You give up some direct control over each article in exchange for not having to run the program yourself. For a B2B SaaS company deciding between hiring an agency and buying software, Rankai sits between the two, and that position is worth considering if you want accountability from a vendor.
Best for SaaS teams that want a managed, AI-assisted SEO program with the vendor doing most of the execution, rather than a tool their own team operates.
Babylovegrowth
Babylovegrowth is an automated SEO and content growth platform aimed at small businesses and startups. It generates and publishes SEO content on an ongoing basis and wraps that in a broader organic growth offering, with the goal of increasing traffic without a full marketing team.
For a bootstrapped product builder, the attraction is consolidation: one subscription covering much of the organic content work. As with any automated content platform, judge it on the articles it produces for your actual niche, how well they read to a technical buyer, and whether the content is structured so answer engines can lift a clean answer from it.
Best for Bootstrapped founders and small businesses that want automated SEO content and organic growth support in one lean package.
Gushwork
Gushwork combines AI agents with human experts to run inbound marketing and SEO for businesses. Content is produced with AI and reviewed or directed by people, which places it closer to a hybrid service than a pure software tool. For buyers who distrust fully automated output but cannot afford a traditional agency, that blend is the selling point.
Hybrid models answer a real concern: in technical B2B categories, a human check catches claims a model gets wrong about integrations, compliance or pricing. The cost is speed and a dependence on the vendor's team. If your product is complex enough that every article needs expert review anyway, Gushwork's model may match how you already work.
Best for B2B companies that want a done-for-you inbound and SEO program with human oversight on AI-produced content.
Across all twelve, the pattern is consistent. Trackers (Profound, Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Ahrefs Brand Radar and the Semrush toolkit) tell you where you stand. Content tools (Clearscope, Outrank, Rankai, Babylovegrowth, Gushwork) change what engines can read. Writesonic and Gofylo try to connect the two. The returns justify connecting them: Omnibound's 2026 compilation reports that AI-referred visitors convert at 4.4x the rate of traditional organic visitors, and HubSpot saw 3x better lead conversion from AEO traffic versus other sources. Measurement without publishing leaves that traffic on the table, and publishing without measurement leaves you guessing.
Adoption is already mainstream: HubSpot's State of AEO in 2026 found that 58% of marketers say their businesses are optimizing content for answer engines. Moving past rank tracking as your only scoreboard is the practical response for a small team, but it does not mean dropping Google data. Search Console and classic rankings still tell you whether pages are indexed and retrieved, which is a precondition for being cited.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best AEO agency for B2B?
The best AEO agency for a B2B company is one that both measures AI visibility and ships content against it, with reporting tied to pipeline rather than mentions alone. Managed options on this list include Rankai and Gushwork, which run the program for you. Many B2B SaaS teams find that a platform covers what they would have paid an agency for: Gofylo, my own product, researches, writes, publishes and refreshes content autonomously and scores AI visibility on ChatGPT and Claude. Pick an agency when you need strategy and accountability from people; pick a platform when the bottleneck is consistent execution.
Is AEO like SEO?
AEO is like SEO in its foundations and different in its goal. Both depend on crawlable, indexed, well-structured pages that answer real questions, and AI systems that browse the web often retrieve from the same pages that rank well. The difference is the outcome you measure. SEO aims for a ranking position and a click. AEO aims for your brand to be named or cited inside the answer, often with no click at all. In practice the same article can serve both if it leads with direct answers, cites sources and uses structured data.
What is a SEO platform?
An SEO platform is software that brings keyword research, content work, technical checks and performance tracking into one system, and the stronger ones in 2026 also act on that data instead of only reporting it.
Start with a baseline, then let the loop run. Run Gofylo's free AI Search Grader to see how answer engines see your brand, then start a free trial of Gofylo to publish 30 cited, internally linked articles a month to your CMS and track your AI Visibility Score on ChatGPT and Claude. Try it on your own keyword set and judge the first articles yourself.
